REGIONAL ARTS AUSTRALIA | STRATEGIC PLAN 2024 - 2028 #

In 1943 our founder Miss Dorothy Helmrich envisaged a nation where people living in regional, rural, and remote Australia could contribute, participate, and enjoy the arts on equal level to those living in metropolitan areas. For over 80 years, Regional Art Australia has been providing timely support to celebrate Australian stories across art forms and across landscapes. Regional Arts Australia continues to be an active voice in this changing environment supporting artists, communities and the creative sector in rural and remote Australia.

Through a national approach, Regional Arts Australia works to unlock the cultural ambition and potential of regional Australia. Our new Strategic Plan reflects our mission and outlines the goals we have set to fulfil our vision of Regional Australia being recognised for the contribution of its creative industries to the liveability, inclusivity and sustainability of our nation.
