Creative and Professional Development$20,000

Erin McCuskey Ballarat East, VIC, 3350 Come Home

"Come Home explores the interchange between longing and belonging through moving-image research and experimentation in a regional cinema residency. Using layers of archival, found, and created film footage in analogue and digital formats, we investigate the nature of belonging through the development of moving image studies in response to a series of thematic provocations rooted in immigration and colonialism. In collaboration with First Peoples artists regarding aspects of Country and home, we interrogate and test film layering techniques to explore cinematic convention as cultural expression."

First Timer$10,000

Anna Thomson Rapid Creek, NT, 0810 MOTHERSHIP NYC Residency

"I wish to undertake a one-month residency at Mothership NYC in August 2023 in New York City.
