Sam Burke / Artlands 2023
Sam Burke is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist from Mildura in North West Victoria. She has exhibited and performed throughout Australia, Europe, Asia and the United States and holds a Masters in Contemporary Art from the VCA, and a Bachelor of Music from The University of Melbourne.
In 2022 Sam was Regional Creative Fellow with State Library. She has also held residencies at the British School at Rome, the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada, SensiLab Monash University and Bundanon Trust. Sam has received support for her work from numerous bodies, including the Ian Potter Foundation, Creative Victoria, Regional Arts Victoria, Regional Arts Australia, State Library Victoria, the University of Melbourne, the University of South Australia, Monash University, RACV, MECCA, Apple Australia, the City of Melbourne, and the City of Adelaide.
Sam is currently writing and directing Raised on Fertile Ground, an art documentary that looks at the groundbreaking Mildura Sculpture Triennials.
