Jessica Djerrkura / Director

Jess Djerrkura is a strategic planning and communications specialist, with strong experience in stakeholder management and community development across the not-for-profit and government sectors. Jess lives and works on Yolŋu country in North East Arnhem Land as Tourism Development Manager for Developing East Arnhem Limited.

Jess is an experienced tourism professional, with a strong passion for cultural tourism, major events, arts and the creative industries. She has worked in various roles with the Northern Territory Government in regional planning and industry development at Tourism NT and the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet East Arnhem region, where she played a key role in the delivery of priority initiatives such as Local Decision Making and socio-economic development. Jess has held management positions at preeminent arts organisations including Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Festival and the Adelaide Festival.

Having grown up in regional NSW, Jess is passionate about the important role arts and culture plays in developing strong and vibrant communities and the unique opportunities and challenges that exist to grow and build creative economies in regional Australia.
