Project Title: Vestibular access for immersive and interactive artwork
Ben Joseph Andrews is a multi-award-winning new media artist from Wathaurong country. His practice harnesses emerging and embodied technologies to expand perceptions, reawaken curiosity and instil a sense of wonder to the world we inhabit. Andrews’ work has toured extensively around the world, including to the Venice Biennale of Cinema (IT), Sundance (US), ACMI (AU), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (DK), Adelaide Festival (AU), Watershed (UK), Science Gallery Michigan (US), the Wales Millennium Centre (UK), and Experimenta’s Emergence triennial. A passionate community-builder, he has mentored projects in Australia and internationally including for Immersive Arts (UK), ACMI, AIDC, and as a lead facilitator for Screenwest’s First Nations VR initiative in 2024-26. He is a fellow of the Venice Biennale College (Immersive), and has spoken for NYU Tisch, Sundance Film Festival, Heide Museum of Modern Art and MIT Open DocLab.
