A WRAP UP NOTE & INVITATION FROM DONNA & WARREN MASON
We would like to share these ashes with you to honour the intention of sharing the essence of our time together. Please provide your postal address if you would like to receive a small glass jar of these ashes...
"We want to let you know a little more about our process following up from the event. You would have noticed that we used many branches and leaves as part of the event. In our belief system, these leaves absorb the essence and intention of our gathering and at the end of each Tin Camp Session where fire is involved, we add these elements to the fire at the end of the event. We then collect the ashes from that fire, add them to our ongoing collection and use them as the start of the next fire. For us this is a symbolic act representing that all of our work and gatherings are connected, and each contributes to the foundation for the next.
As we didn't have an ongoing fire for this event, the larger branches and leaves were taken that afternoon to join the Fire for Peace and Justice at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy across the road.
The Fire for Peace and Justice has been burning since 1992.
The smaller branches and all of the items brought with you went on a road trip with Warren to Colac NSW, where he created a new fire and these ashes are now on their way back to his home Country at Goodooga. For us, we will be taking these ashes to our next event at the NEWKIND CONFERENCE in Victoria - a 4 day, on-country, social change event which may appeal to some of you."
