Thea Jones / Grants Manager

Thea Jones is an arts manager and artist from regional NSW, now based in Hurstbridge VIC on Wurundjeri Country. 

Before joining Regional Arts Australia as Grants Manager in 2023, Thea was the Hurstbridge Hub Development Officer for Nillumbik Shire Council. Thea was the General Manager at West Space from 2014-2021 and Acting Executive Director from 2021-2022. She was the Treasurer on the Board of SEVENTH Gallery from 2015 - 2022. Thea is a qualified bookkeeper and has held high-level administrative and data reporting roles at the University of Melbourne and the Alfred Hospital. 

Alongside her professional roles in the arts, Thea maintains a visual arts practice that encompasses writing, textiles, and craft. She is currently undertaking a Masters in Fine Art at the University of Melbourne, investigating the intersections between nostalgia, craft, and intergenerational relationships between women in regional areas.
