Performer Nicole Thomson has a unique ability to meet people where they are 'at' and embed in them inspired knowledge so they, in turn, can impact others. She transforms ideas into reality through collaborative partnerships in performance and pedagogy, enhanced by her own experience within the performing arts. Nicole is a curator of artistic experiences for those in her sphere of influence, promoting quality and excellence in the industry.
Beginning her international professional career as singer, conductor, and creative artist over twenty years ago initially with The Song Company, Nicole has been involved in many recordings for award-winning films, documentaries and video games. Some highlights include ‘South Solitary’, ‘Legends of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga’Hoole’, ‘Happy Feet 2’, ‘Halo’ & ‘World Of Warcraft – Starcraft’, and she can also be found on many albums released through ‘The Song Company’, ‘ABC Classic’ and ‘Tall Poppies’ labels.
When travelling, Nicole continues to share her skills as performer and educator with audiences and musicians worldwide. Since 2012, Nicole has combined her performing and academic life through the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, overseeing three international study tours to Malaysia (2018, 2020 and 2022) alongside international conductor Kevin Field in partnership with Bentley Music Academy, located in Kuala Lumpur and The Culture Exchange, a company she co-founded with Kevin Field.
With expertise within primary, secondary and tertiary education, Nicole is comfortable conducting all manner of events, from one-on-one masterclasses, to group workshops, adjudications and examining, as well as the musical direction of stage productions.
Within all her spheres of influence, Nicole continues to devote her skills to increase the quality of music education within an environment of musical and theatrical excellence.
