Michelle Tuahine / Knowledge Circle Participant
Michelle Tuahine is a proud Gangulu/Ngati Kahugnunu woman with a successful background in journalism. She has worked for ABC TV, SBS, NITV and the National Indigenous Radio Service.
Michelle serves on a number of boards, including the Brisbane Festival board, and is co-chair of the Mental Health Lived Experience Peak of Queensland. She has also served on the National NAIDOC Committee. Michelle is committed to helping shape a vibrant and robust performing arts industry that values cultural integrity, truth-telling, and First Nations stewardship. Her aspiration is to develop strong local, state, and national narratives that give voice to First Nations arts and disability, neurodiversity, and lived experience of mental health.
