Mark Smith / Director

Mark Smith is the Executive Director of MusicNT, the peak body for music in the Northern Territory. MusicNT delivers a suite of programs and initiatives that seek to amplify the Northern Territory music industry/scene including Bush Bands, Music Rangers and the All Good live event Safety program as well as key national events; National Indigenous Music Awards, Music Writers Lab and the Regional and Remote Music Summit. Mark is currently Chairperson of the Creative Industries Ministerial Advisory Council in the Northern Territory.

Prior to working at MusicNT Mark Smith was a touring musician and band manager for Sietta, Culture Connect and Yilila. He continues to perform as much as he can today, playing in many local bands playing anything from funk to country to reggae or as classical percussionist for the Darwin Symphony Orchestra.
