Lia Pa’apa’a hails from Samoa and the Luiseño nation of Southern California. She is an artist, Creative Producer and Community Arts Cultural Development practitioner who delivers community empowered multi-artform projects across regional and remote Australia. Lia delivers dynamic programming across cultural festivals and projects that focus on community empowerment, capacity building, and intergenerational exchange. Lia is the recipient of the 2020 Australia Council for the Arts Fellowship for CACD and is spending the next two years deepening her knowledge and practice of ancestral and contemporary Arts and Cultural practices that support mamas and babies during the first 1000 days.
