Laura Baker is a visual artist working in the medium of paper cutting. Laura was born on Wiradjuri Country in the Central West region of NSW and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts (now UNSW Art & Design). Laura spent several years living in Sydney and Melbourne whilst working in the independent book industry, before completing post-graduate studies in Arts & Cultural Management. She now lives in Blayney NSW, next door to her childhood home.

Laura's work examines the qualities, details and shape of the Australian environment alongside the unique landscape of regional towns. She is a participant in the NSW Regional Futures program, has taught workshops across Australia, and her work is included in an Arts OutWest touring exhibition.
