Gareth Hart / Artlands 2023

Gareth Hart is currently the CEO / Creative Director of Burrinja, alongside their 20 year practice as an independent live artist.

Their leadership practice is underpinned by deeply held values of humanity and humanness; and seeks to adopt a curatorial vision through a cultural development methodology.

In 2017 Hart was awarded an Australia Day Award for ‘outstanding contribution to the Yarra Ranges Community’; in 2018 was selected for the highly competitive ‘Future Leaders Program’ by the Australia Council. In former lives, Hart was Executive Director at Arts Mildura, Festival Director at hillsceneLIVE, co-Artistic Director of CRACK Theatre Fesitval, and Board Director at the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival.
