About the Melbourne Art Book Fair
Since its launch in 2015, the annual Melbourne Art Book Fair has attracted more than 50,000 visitors, making it the most visited publishing event in the Asia-Pacific region. The fourth Melbourne Art Book Fair in 2018 (16-18 March), will bring together international and local publishers and practitioners in a weekend of free talks, book launches, performances, and stalls.
About Regional Arts Australia’s Stand
Regional Arts Australia (RAA) will be holding a stand at the Melbourne Art Book Fair to showcase the high calibre of artists, writers and designers in Regional Australia.
In an exclusive opportunity, RAA invites all regional, rural and remote artists and practitioners to submit an Expression of Interest for publications to be included at our stand, with all sales going directly back to the artists. We will be including a diverse range of publications from artists and arts organisations from around Australia and applications are welcome from those whose publishing practice centres around art, design, architecture and contemporary culture. Regional Arts Australia staff will run the stall and facilitate all sales.
Submitting Publications for Inclusion
RAA invites artists in regional Australia to submit an Expression of Interest form through our website.
To submit your publication for inclusion, please fill out our application form with the title, a summary of the book, a brief bio on yourself or the organisation, dimensions of your book, RRP and an image (to be used for marketing purposes).
In order for this opportunity to be widely available, the Regional Arts Australia stand will accept two publications per submission. Expressions of Interest close on Sunday 28 January.
Notification, Postage and Payment
You will be notified if you are successful with inclusion by Friday 2 February.
There is a registration fee of $50 +GST for individuals and $100 +GST for organisations. This fee covers the cost of the stall, promotions and return postage for unsold items. Fees must be received by 16 February. A tax invoice will be provided as record of your payment.
All publications must be received between 1-9 March 2018.
